On June 20, 2024, UnitedHealth Group issued a press release offering an update on the Change Healthcare cybersecurity incident that occurred on Feb. 21, 2024. While the investigation to determine whose data is impacted is not yet complete, UnitedHealth Group has started the process to notify impacted customers and shared a website that provides additional information. UnitedHealth Group continues to offer credit monitoring and identity protection services, as well as a dedicated contact center to address questions. UPDATED: STAR Kids LTSS Billing Matrix

As a reminder, on December 1, 2022, the Texas Health Human Services Commission (HHSC) implemented the new Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) Billing Matrix and Crosswalk for the STAR Kids product. The matrix includes a table that provides the billing codes and modifiers for state plan services used in STAR Kids and the Medically Dependent Children Program (MDCP). Please Note:

  • All providers are expected to utilize and follow the matrix as described, per service.
  • As detailed in the matrix, HHSC has indicated that specific state plan services for eligible MDCP members must include the U6 modifier in its respective location when submitting claims for reimbursement.
  • Superior HealthPlan would like to remind providers to ensure claims are submitted in accordance to the matrix.
  • To further assist providers with identifying members who are part of  MDCP, Superior has included an MDCP indicator (MDCP=U6) within the authorization letters.
