April 27: Drug Take Back Day

Superior HealthPlan is supporting the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA's) National Prescription Drug Take BackExternal Link Day on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. This event offers individuals a safe and easy way to discard their unused or expired prescription medications. 

In support of this initiative, Superior encourages providers to educate members on the dangers of drug misuse and over-use, as well as inform members about where to find drop-off locations to dispose of unwanted prescriptions in their area.

Please note: If members are unable to dispose of their unused or expired medications on April 27, year-round pharmaceutical disposal locations are available. To find a disposal location in your area, visit the Controlled Substance Public Disposal LocationsExternal Link.
