On June 20, 2024, UnitedHealth Group issued a press release offering an update on the Change Healthcare cybersecurity incident that occurred on Feb. 21, 2024. While the investigation to determine whose data is impacted is not yet complete, UnitedHealth Group has started the process to notify impacted customers and shared a website that provides additional information. UnitedHealth Group continues to offer credit monitoring and identity protection services, as well as a dedicated contact center to address questions. HHSC STAR+PLUS Upcoming Webinars

Effective September 1, 2024, the Texas Health Human Services Commission (HHSC) is transitioning contracts for the STAR+PLUS program. This transition means:

  • Members may need to select new health plans.
  • Providers may need to contract with new Managed Care Organizations (MCOs).

The STAR+PLUS project team invites providers to attend an upcoming webinar to learn about changes to the STAR+PLUS program. This information will be helpful to providers communicating with STAR+PLUS members and engaging with MCOs.
