On June 20, 2024, UnitedHealth Group issued a press release offering an update on the Change Healthcare cybersecurity incident that occurred on Feb. 21, 2024. While the investigation to determine whose data is impacted is not yet complete, UnitedHealth Group has started the process to notify impacted customers and shared a website that provides additional information. UnitedHealth Group continues to offer credit monitoring and identity protection services, as well as a dedicated contact center to address questions. Effective 9/1: STAR+PLUS Contract Changes

Superior HealthPlan would like to remind providers that STAR+PLUS contract changes will be effective September 1, 2024. For more information, please review Superior’s STAR+PLUS: Contract Award Updates notice.

Superior members may have already received letters from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) regarding the contract changes and they may reach out to providers for guidance. For more information, providers can direct members to Superior’s Important News for Superior STAR+PLUS Members webpage.

Please Note: Members in the Dallas, Hidalgo, or Nueces Service Delivery Areas, do not need to take any action to remain a Superior member. These members can continue receiving their STAR+PLUS Medicaid coverage from Superior and disregard the letter.
