On June 20, 2024, UnitedHealth Group issued a press release offering an update on the Change Healthcare cybersecurity incident that occurred on Feb. 21, 2024. While the investigation to determine whose data is impacted is not yet complete, UnitedHealth Group has started the process to notify impacted customers and shared a website that provides additional information. UnitedHealth Group continues to offer credit monitoring and identity protection services, as well as a dedicated contact center to address questions. Additional 2023 CPC Cost Report Training Information for LTSS Providers

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Provider Finance Department (PFD) provided the Information Letter No. 2023-44 Cost Report and 2023 and 2024 Accountability Report Training Information (PDF) on December 8, 2023.This letter is to notify providers they are required to submit 2023 cost reports to HHSC PFD.

Preparers must attend cost report training for every program for which a cost or accountability report is submitted. If a preparer attends cost report training, then they are approved to prepare other reports for that program within the biennium. The following program types require 2023 cost report submissions to HHSC PFD:

  • Community Living and Support Services (CLASS)
  • Day Activity and Health Services (DAHS)
  • Deaf-Blind with Multiple Disabilities (DBDM)
  • Home and Community Based Services and Texas Home Living (HCS/TxHmL)
  • Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disability or Related Condition (ICF/IID)
  • Nursing Facility (NF)
  • Primary Home Care, Family Care, Community Attendant Services (PHC)
  • Residential Care (RC)
  • 24-Hour Residential Childcare (24RCC)
  • 24RCC Single Source Continuum Contractors (SSCCs)
  • State Supported Living Center (SSLC)

HHSC PFD is offering additional cost report trainings for providers who are non-compliant.

Preparers who have not completed training for a specific program's cost or accountability report will not be able to submit a cost or accountability report for that program. A cost or accountability report will not be accepted for any of the programs if the preparer has not attended the required training.
