Important News for Superior STAR+PLUS Members

Effective September 1, 2024, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) implemented a new contract for STAR+PLUS. Superior no longer provides STAR+PLUS Medicaid coverage to members in the Bexar Service Delivery Area (SDA). This includes the following counties: Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Medina, Wilson.
Superior will continue to provide STAR+PLUS Medicaid coverage in the following SDAs:
- Central Medicaid Rural Service Area
- Dallas
- Hidalgo
- Lubbock
- Nueces
- West
- Medicaid Rural Service Area
Superior also began serving STAR+PLUS members in the Travis SDA on September 1, 2024, which includes the following counties:
