Effective May 1, 2022: Removal of Prior Authorization Requirement for Wheelchair Management (Assessment, Fitting and Training)

Effective May 1, 2022, Superior HealthPlan will no longer require prior authorization for wheelchair management (assessment, fitting, training) for Medicaid (STAR, STAR Health, STAR Kids, STAR+PLUS) and CHIP members.
The Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code included in this change, that will no longer require prior authorization, is listed below.
