Earn Continuing Education Credits: ACEs for PCPs

Centene, the parent company of Superior HealthPlan, is hosting a one-hour course to support Primary Care Providers (PCPs) and their staff in understanding the relationship between physical care and behavioral health treatment for patients who have suffered Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

This course will cover the following objectives:

  • Define what is trauma
  • Gain awareness of the prevalence of trauma in our communities
  • Become aware of the effects of trauma (emotional, physical)
  • Learn about Trauma Informed Care
  • Become aware of resources to address trauma

Please attend one of the opportunities to take this course: 

  • August 17, 2021 12:30PM to 1:30PM CST
  • August 26, 2021 11:30AM to 12:30PM CST

Participants who complete this training are eligible for .75 Continuing Medical Education (CME).

Note: In accordance with the Texas BHEC, Centene's Continuing Education (CE) program follows the rules for the CE Provider outlined by TX Boards of LPC, LMFT, and SW. It is the licensee's responsibility to ensure the applicability of the topic for their profession and adherence to the CE requirements for their specific board.
