UPDATE: Kate Farms Pediatric Formula Recall

Date: 09/14/22

Recently, a voluntary recall of several Kate Farms Pediatric Standard 1.2 Vanilla products was issued because of possible microbial contamination. There are more Kate Farms products as well as some PediaSure Harvest products that have been recalled.

Our August 2022 notification, Kate Farms Pediatric Formula Recall, included a list of the Kate Farms products originally recalled. For an updated and full list of Kate Farms and PediaSure Harvest recalled products, please review:

These updated listings now include nutrition shakes and other formulas, including Glucerna and Ensure products.

The lot code and expiration dates can be used to see if your product has been contaminated. The lot code can be found on the top or side of the packaging. It is below the expiration date of the product.

The contamination from these products can cause:

  • Fever
  • Vomiting
  • Urinary tract infection (UTI)

If your product does not have one of the recalled lot codes listed, continue to use it as normal. If you bought any of the recalled products for your family, contact your local Texas Health and Human Services WIC office for information on replacement products.

If you have specific questions regarding alternative products, it is always best to speak with your child's doctor.

For any other questions, call Superior Member Services from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
