COVID-19 Resources for Nursing Facility Providers Now Available

Providers are encouraged to consider expanding existing processes to incorporate strategies or initiatives as appropriate when engaging Superior HealthPlan nursing facility residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. Superior recently created Nursing Facility Providers: COVID-19 Resources (PDF) to assist providers with COVID-19 challenges specific to nursing facilities. 

This resource contains information regarding:

• Developing and implementing an infection prevention and control plan for the facility.
  
• Supporting vaccination access for all staff and residents.
• Educating staff in keeping the community safe.
• Investing and implementing new or enhanced technology.
• Educating the community, and communicating often with transparency. 
• Engaging residents in innovative and meaningful ways. 
• How Superior is supporting nursing facility providers.
